Storywell is a digital storytelling concept focused on preserving personal narratives and oral histories. It brings together the intimacy of spoken memories with the possibilities of a thoughtfully designed digital experience.
The project investigates how a simple digital platform could support the collection, organisation and sharing of personal stories, making it easier to preserve voices, memories and lived experiences for future generations.
Approach
Exploring 3D character concepts

The concept is guided by a belief that recording a memory should feel natural and welcoming. The experience aims to reduce technical barriers and place the human voice, personal reflection and meaningful connection at its centre.
Process
Explore how the familiar act of telling a story can become an intuitive digital experience.
Early development has focused on translating the oral-history concept into a digital proof of concept, exploring how people might capture memories, organise stories and create a lasting personal archive.
Warmth, simplicity and dignity. Storywell should feel less like a technology platform and more like a welcoming place to share something meaningful. The design approach places clarity, accessibility and emotional connection ahead of unnecessary complexity.
The Prototype
Storywell has progressed through early digital prototyping and proof-of-concept development, exploring the practical possibilities of a dedicated personal storytelling platform.
The proof-of-concept work explores how a digital experience could help people capture and organise their stories. Further development and user validation would be needed before positioning Storywell as a fully operational service.
